Welcome Home
The Tudor Submariner is a 1-owner, me, since 1979. It has just had a refresh with new bracelet and lume repair. As it can no longer be guaranteed waterproof for diving, so it has a replacement Subc taking its place. But I'm keeping it as a general backup, and because we've been together for 34 years and had many adventures. Amazing the difference between the two cases. I love the newbie, but the Tudor feels like a featherweight by comparison!

The thing they said was they couldn't guarantee its watertight to spec; I'm not exactly sure why but two watchmakers have told me it wouldn't be a good idea to dive with it. I think it has been through so many pressure cycles over it's lifetime that it would be really hard to get it to seal properly. Judging from some of the brilliant work I've seen done on TRF I'm sure it could probably be done, but I think it's earned a bit of a retirement.
Thanks for the kind words everybody. A very classy bunch! |
