Everything usually works out after a quick 1:1 meeting, where I'm able to set my expectations.

Well, I'm very pleased to have generated some interesting discussion.

Looks like I'm definitely in the minority, but that's fine with me.

Thanks for your thoughts - all very welcome indeed.

Have a great weekend... :-)

When I agreed to buy it...seriously, bought my Daytona here from trusted seller and it never crossed my mind it was pre-worn and pre-owned, actually couldn't care less and still couldn't care less.

It depends on the watch and the wear. The cleaner the faster. My dad's old sixties gold Bulova will never feel like mine.

Agreed.

When I first saw it, and they gave it to me to try on, I knew it was mine. Everything felt right.

I've owned a couple from new and a couple pre-owned. The first pre-owned might not count...it was my dad's day/date. It was bark and he had a black face put on. There was also a lot of wear on the band. I replace links, changed to a white dial when serviced at RSC. It felt brand new when this was done. It was never, however, my taste and I eventually sold it. I have since acquired a used sub, that was well loved by a savvy collector. It felt strange, at first, but once I had it serviced, it felt like a new watch and we bonded!

Bought a lovely pre owned 2 year old S/S Sub C last week.

And it felt like mine the second I walked out of the shop.
