Would you do it?

Hi. So quick summary of my situation.

Have a two and a half year old rolex explorer ii 16570. The hour hand stopped working so I sent off to rsc.

They will either fix the problem for free and send it back. Or do a full service for $300 with new 2 year warranty.

I might flip the watch soon. Would you guys just do the fix or do you think it's worth it to get the 2 year warranty? Think I could get $300 more when selling for a watch with new warranty?

Thanks for any insight. Sorry this was in a previous thread but I thought I'd simplify it and get some fresh eyes to look at it.

$300 is a great price for a service at a RSC.

Without question, I would spend the $300 for service.

That's really inexpensive for RSC, so I say do it. If you do decide to sell it the service record will be a selling point, IMO. I know when I bought my Daytona recently the RSC service completed last August was a big factor in my decision to buy it over something else.

As said above I'd drop the coin and do the service.
