Sub Cases
Hey All,
Looking for some input on Sub cases. Older cases like my 14060 and the new ceramic Sub cases Not looking for preference but rather differences. I've Googled it but looking for more real life explanations from some TRFers. I find the 14060 just a tiny bit ever so slightly small. I've tried the ceramic Sub on and it just has a greater presence to it. While that may be a downer for some, it has my interest. Or maybe my (new to me) 14060 size will grow on me? Anyway, anybody own both? Is this all in my head? Isn't 40mm and 40mm the same? I own a Black Bay, and while only 1mm bigger, it wears far better on my large wrist. Cheers~ Ryan

The ceramic is a more muscled up version, larger lugs, maxi dial, thicker bezel. I have both versions of the submariner and enjoy both, no preference what so ever.

Depends on the wrist, I find my Sub 14060 to be perfect in size, weight, height . . . A classic watch in all respects

With the solid end links, it feels more solid. As you know it wears a little bigger. Beefier case, hands and indices gives it a larger presence. If you like that better than the 14060M, I would go for it. I wouldn't talk myself into a model and hope it grows on me. It won't. That's why have the watch I own now, because I didn't compromise. I got what I wanted.... Now I want to add to the collection, go figure.

Interesting that the diameter of the crown on the 14060 appears to be larger than the 114060 crown. Not sure if that's just camera angle or not.

Excellent comparison and reviews! I particularly like the close-up pictures of the detached links!
