Panerai did not release new bronze watch, but IWC does, do you like it?

With the Aquatimer Chronograph Edition "Expedition Charles Darwin" (Ref. IW379503), IWC Schaffhausen traces the journey of the well-known naturalist to the Galapagos Islands. Here, Darwin collected the evidence that formed the basis of his theory on the origin of species. As a tribute to this event, and for the first time ever, IWC Schaffhausen makes use of bronze for a watch case: the metal alloy was one of the materials typically used in shipbuilding at that time. This special edition is also equipped with the IWC-manufactured 89365 calibre. Not my picture, from TZ.

IMHO, that watch is too sleek and modern for bronze....bronze works on the PAM 382 and 507, but not that.

imagine the case with patina and some green....just doesn't work.

the IWC would work, though, in RG.

It's the Year of the Aquatimer for IWC but never mind the watch... have you seen pics of the IWC booth?? Over the top as usual!

Like the idea of bronze but on a watch that doesnt look so refined, almost looks like gold in the pic and dont see patina making it look much better. IMHO the rubber coated black model looks much better...

I like all the Aquatimer pics!! It looks like they are 44mm though, that size is not for me.

I agree that the design is too modern for bronze.

I like the black ones, but they honestly look like $300 watches.

To be honest I hate bronze watches, Pamīs or other brānds, for me steel, ceramic, TI or maybe pink or white gold but bronze no way....
