"What sort of macro lens and settings did you use to capture LEC. That is really a great shot. I'll look under stereo zoom scope tonight at work to see if I can get such a shot. Very cool."

Hi everyone,

Thanks for all the comments.

I used a Nikon 105mm macro lens on a Nikon D3X camera. I set the aperture to f10. It's more about the "angle" of the lens to the surface of the crystal and the illumination of the crystal from above, parallel to the surface, near the 12 marker. The dial surface reflects the light and illuminates the crown from below.

Well thanks a lot, Winston!!!!!!!! I thought that my next quest in a Rolex was going to be a DJII, but now after seeing your pics I'm thinking of a 116600. Decisions, decisions.........
