Weird Link

I was wondering what the deal is with this link. It has the screw pin on one side, but not the other. How can it be attached to an oyster bracelet, when it's only possible to attach it on one side. It's like the 8th wonder to me. Time for the knowledgable members to enlighten me. Thanks

Ummmm... Unscrew the screw... take the screw out... and it'll come apart...

If you were joking with this, well you got me, if you weren't then I'm happy that I was able to help!

I'm really not joking. How does this link get attached to the bracelet. I really don't know.

The centre bit slides out of that assembly you're holding, and then into the next link on your bracelet.

Actually, take the screw out, put it away, then thread a piece of cord (preferably leather, but rubber or nylon will do) through the screw hole. Make sure the cord goes all the way through. Loop it around, tie both ends of the cord together, and you've got yourself a nice new necklace.

Not a bad idea for a pendant for the wifey. If she's into it that is.
