John Mayer, younger guy who is really into collecting vintage pieces, plus he knows watches and writes a blog at Hodinkee.... Plus seems to stay out of trouble and has dated a lot of beautiful women. Both my AD's are in Carmel so Clint will be a tough one to follow.

Suggest to consider Brian Williams of NBC Nightly News fame. He has been wearing a Rolex Daytona for many years (seen him wear both black and white dials). Ted Koppel used to sport a YG DD every night when he was on TV.

I don't if there has to be a PM capacity upgrade ambassador, but, if there will be one, how about one of those old-time National Geographic adventure types? Rolex history, no need to compete with Clint and also very cool.

The train has left the station. He has outstanding warrants in Canada and will probably be deported.

JM definitely knows and loves Rolex, but for this I think TRF leadership is looking for a more "legendary and iconic" figure such as a McQueen, Brando or Clapton, who was well known to favor one piece (like Steve and his ND Sub 5512 which he wore daily).
Will be interesting to see who they ultimately pick! |
