Watch storage boxes

Hello Again friends.

I now have close to ten watches and wanted your expert advice on nice storage box for the watches.

Can you kindly suggest some brands along with the place to buy them from.

Much appreciate your help in advance :)

Brookstone.com has 184 to choose from with a mix of winders and standard storage boxes.

How do you work around the foam for the watches? Doesn't it need a specialized way to neatly cut the slots for the watches? Or is there a pelican case specifically made for watch storage?

The foam in the Underwater Kinetics case I had was actually pre-cut in pieces. You just take out pieces as needed leaving a cavity(s) in the shape of whatever you want to put in there (camera and lenses, etc.) You can make the cavities as deep as you want. Here's a pic:

Have you considered a winder as well? I saw a 4 watch winder in Burlwood on Amazon for about $250 awhile back that I was considering.

Hi. No I haven't given winders a thought as I have read that it is best to invest in high end winders. And those cost a lot. Hence I thought it best to invest in a nice box for my 10 watches with a provision for expansion :)

Weird, I can see it both in my post and your quote of my post.

Anyway, here's a link to the pic, you can see how the foam is cut into removable pieces:

You just lift out the pieces you need to in order to make the shape you want. The cases themselves are pretty much just like Pelican's.

The most secure storage box I have for my watches is located at my bank. It is called a safety deposit box. I do not worry about my watches when I leave home because I know they are safe and secure. Safes in Hawaii seem to be a humidity magnet and become funky smelling. Again in my safety deposit box it is in a conditioned space, relative humidity keep at an optimum level and no worries about funky smells or anything in this storage container. Just my ! Good luck on your search.
