Herman Miller Chairs Aeron or Mirra
I have to have a new office chair. I have read a couple of chair threads here but wanted a little more info. Do you any of you that have Herman Miller chairs prefer one over the other? They look like they might be kind of hard/flat? The worn out one I am sitting in right now is making my rear end and hip pretty angry.

I have a Aeron. It is firm and not so great if you do a lot of work sitting down. Good for an hour at a time, max.

I work out of my home. I have an old school Recaro office chair in leather with inflatable support and two Aerons.
I enjoy the Aeron so much I use one for TV in the living room now. Part of the beauty is that the size A Aeron is just right for me. |

I gave up my Aeron chair at work cause it was hurting my back, I got a Tempur-Pedic chair from Staples and couldn't be happier, at least so far, office chairs don't last very long, at least not with my fat-@$$
plus it was 1/3rd the price of my Aeron so theoretically I could expense a backup

I have Herman Miller Aeron chairs in my office and home office but not sure why I haven't replaced them. They were the best chairs 10 years ago but not anymore. The Mirra is more supportive but not very comfortable for me.
I'm ordering the Ergohuman V2 and suggest you check one out. Great chair |

I have an Aeron at home, had it for about 15 years. Good enough for me - it is not healthy to sit too much anyhow! :-)
