Rolex service pouch
Just wondering if anyone can confirm if there are officially two types of green suede pouched, one embossed with gold letters and the others without? Also, is there a part or reference number for these?

You mean in production today or over the past 10 years or so? Because there have been more than just two. Several types of green and even grey over the years

The pouches currently issued by RSC in Hong Kong are plain green, with no Rolex logo or name. No reference number. They appear to be made in China.

There is nothing "officially" about the pouches used.
They probably cost Rolex $0.05 to make. There are likely many, many versions out there.

Hey, out of curiosity, if I personally go to the RSC to drop off my watch and then return to pick it up, will they still give me the pouch??????
Do I have a right to ask for it, or is it something that is included in the price of shipping had I mailed it in?? |

Tip: They can't very well refuse if you are already wearing another watch.

dear all, it's shocking news for me here in hong kong, especially when i saw Adam's thread, because i've been to the rsc here in hong kong 3 times last year and all i got was a white color paper bag with green logos (thicker though it's made of paper) and that's it! all along i thought they would give out the green suede ones so i asked the lady then and she said that's all they're giving out now! there won't be any more suede green bags since awhile ago?! so did i get ribbed off or what? would those in asia share more info on this?

I have had five watches serviced at Hong Kong Rsc since last October, and all were returned to me (in person) with a plain green pouch. Last time was two weeks ago.

Have to agree and mass produced in there thousands by a third party and as cheaply as possible like any other business would. And just cannot believe that some pay for these giveaway free items.

So do all serviced watches come back from RSC in the service pouches? Do they get shipped from the dealers to the SC in them as well?

On the upside, no Rolex name on the pouch in Hong Kong, but an Explorer or Air King type of watch only costs about us$250 to service, and about $300 for something like the Explorer II.
