OP count how many characters are in your serial and see if we have a V or a random

it probably was produced in 08-10 but didn't sell until the date on the warranty card. Probably sat in a case at the AD for a while

It will simply be that the case was manufactured by Rolex in 2008/2009 on a V serial and either recently sent to the Rolex AD or was simply in the Rolex AD window for a while. No worries though

Rolex watches aren't like cars. There are no model years and dating with the serial number isn't an exact science. You have a brand new Rolex in the eyes of everyone. Just enjoy it

My guess is this is the year and the serials are only approximations and not anything concrete. You bought the watch and not the serial preference

You are falling into the "serial numbers on the Internet" trap.

The various charts that claim to tell you the date of manufacture are guesses based on when certain serials were first seen in the marketplace and only come close in the case of fast moving SS models.

Very likely plenty of V serial TT and gold models still in Dealer cases. Some models are just now seeing Random serials..
