AD Confusion- Tudor Pelagos

First post and wanted to share my story/ get some opinions.

Just got back from my local AD and am pretty confused by the information they tried to pass onto me. I'm in the market for a Pelagos as the first nice watch that I buy myself- a present for my upcoming birthday and impending graduation. I'm not new to Rolex, but have not had an AD experience as I've been fortunate enough to receive my 16750 and 116710 as gifts from my father.

From reading here on the forum, I expected not to receive a discount and the threat of an impending price increase (both of which were said to me at the AD today). I didn't, however; expect this: the woman at the counter told me that there were 2 different price points for the Pelagos. One for the bracelet, and one for the rubber strap.

They even had them displayed (sorry for the rubber strap being cut off):

Is this true? Are there different prices for the Pelagos like the BB? I thought the Pelagos came with the rubber strap? Any ideas or insight?

No, it was a Mayor's Jewelers.

Since they're the only Tudor AD in town, I may have to give DavidSW a call.

Thanks for the help!

I know that the black bay has different price points for leather strap vs stainless bracelet but I can't speak for the Pelagos

According to this unboxing post http://forums.watchuseek.com/f23/my-...cs-727526.html

it should come with both straps.

Maybe the sales rep is just confused.

I think the rep got mixed up with the Black Bay.
