What's this sea king I keep on reading about here? Does it really exist?

Give me a solid lead Rolex Land King with the Plutonium bezel and Mercury composite caseback.

Initially Rolex made 500 of these, with plans to replace the Air King lineup. But sadly many of the owners perished and the watches were deemed too toxic for humans. As a result Rolex stopped production and most were destroyed. However, the damage was done and Rolex was sued for $100 million dollars in episode 972 of The People's Court in 1986, which garnered the highest rating ever for that TV show. If you go to Hodinkee now, they've got an article on the the Land King- it's 174/500 that was on TV as Rolex got sued and interestingly enough has never killed its owners- only seriously maimed them. Dubbed the "Angel of Death", it's a MUST in any serious vintage Rolex collection.

I think Solid 18K YG Submariner is my grail. Blue dial, of course :)

YG all the way -- if you are bashful regarding wearing YG, save $$$ and go with steel.

I got my YG Rolex I wear every day even to the gym. After the novelty wears off I will probably go back to my SS.

The heavier the better but my preference from the list is WG--specifically SubC.

I went white gold with my first Rolex, but now I'm leaning towards yellow gold. I don't think there's a gold Rolex I don't like!

You should have saved this post until April 1. I'm looking forward to see the postings from this crowd on April Fools Day.
