I put a padded leather SNPR strap on my Breitling Super Avenger a while ago, and I loved it! It was a little stuff at first but once it broke in it was very comfortable and looked great, SNPR straps are very good. Not sure if any of this was helpful, but I'm sure the Explorer II would look great with one!
