The daytona gold

I've been thinking about a yellow gold Daytona with a brown leather strap. Can anyone weight in on this watch and tell me what their opinion is on this piece and how it stacks up again other Daytona's. Is it a much sought after Rolex or is the metal bracelet a more desirable piece? http://www.rolex.com/watches/cosmogr...a/m116518-0131

I would prefer the YG and WG on a strap.

Agreed. It's a matter of preference though.

Personally, I would rather spend the extra $ for the whole bracelet and then buy a non-OEM leather strap; that way, I would have more options.

I think the beauty of the Daytona is that it looks right at home on the strap or bracelet...in precious metals especially so.

Really Mon? Looks great to me, classic gold, white, brown combo.

As the Daytona is a little small for me I prefer it on the bracelet for that extra heft and substantive feel.

Same here, I guess I wanted to try it with a strap.

Now I know better.

I think it's a great looking watch on a strap in YG. I think the full YG bracelet is just a bit too flashy for me. I'd love to own one.

That's the way I see it to. The brown leather breaks it up nicely
