I was quoted a price in Euros from an AD I use in Italy for a Black Bay on steel bracelet. I know the price was 2720 Euros but he says they are now 2830 Euros since the price increase on 1st March.
Is this true, or is he just trying to make a bit more out of me ?

It is correct. They did this in Spain as well.
