If you really want to know the manufacture date of your Rolex, I suggest you get one from the mid-1950s to about 1970, as those have the quarter and the year engraved into the caseback (on the inside).

I am sure you have not fully read the posts no internet chart can give a exact date for any watch and the chart information is already on this site.You have a A serial Rolex watch end of story made in a time frame from approx 1998 till late 1999.

Just a replacement dial, typically put on at service. Rolex will
want to do that if the dial is damaged or if the lume is no longer working (esp. the tritium ones, which stop radiating over time). Your 'swiss' dial is correct for the time period so almost certainly is original. Jack D. |
