Welcome :)
I suppose you don't have to know the product when the demand exceeds the supply for most models... Take it if leave it attitude is the norm these days :(

A very nice middle-aged woman at one of the local ADs here in Northern CA told me, "The 116619LB is $36,000, because of the platinum bracelet. I said, "I didn't realize they made a Submariner in platinum." and left it at that. Then, I foolishly asked some "difficult questions" about price hikes and serial numbers. Every time she had to get bother the manager in the back for answers. All this despite the claim she'd been selling Rolex for years.

Love your 14060 and sorry about your experience....my experience has shown me that a fair number (if not majority) of Rolex salespeople have a watch IQ on par with their shoe size. Net-net, the sales lady is to be forgiven....and you should shop someplace else!

Hope you had a good holiday all the same!

Sounds like a lot of you guys have experience with ignorant or simply uneducated salespeople, I wasn't sure how 'widespread' this would be as i've already mentioned, my local AD is superb

I haven't gotten around to as many of the local ADs here as I'd like. Once I get a chance to check them out, I'll post my findings for the benefit of my fellow Bay Area horophiles. That should so be a word. Hopefully, the others are better.
