First Tudor Blue Black Bay - Where & When?

Does anyone know when the Blue Black Bay is to be shipped to AD's this year???

My guess it will first surface (pardon the pun) in Europe that region being the closest to the Rolex manufactory.

However, I certainly would not object if Rolex decided to release the BBB (Blue Black Bay) (hey that's a convenient abbreviation, Down-Under (Australia).

I think the first Black Bay showed up in early Summer, so I suppose the blue will be about then as well.

I had to wait 6 weeks after ordering for my local Wempe to get the Black Bay in, so closer doesn't necessarily mean sooner.

Both Hodinkee and Watchtime reported June this year. The same price as the Black Bay. $3100 for the leather strap or $3425 for the bracelet:

The thing that is different this year is an open US market. Maybe NY by Memorial Day for the B3?

We use less letters here

OK thanks...
I really want to see the BBB in the flesh as the photos make it hard to judge.
Here in Malaysia we actually have Tudor Boutiques. I haven't asked them yet but they may have some information however I don't place too much stock in whatever they have to say.
BBB may have more keystrokes than B3 but it is the same key so there is less effort in typing BBB than B3.

Reserved one and paid for it today. An AD I work with has a Tudor event scheduled for 5/15. He is certain it will be on my wrist at the event. I have my doubts--but he "can all but guarantee it."

Curious say I buy the metal bracelet version , how much would it be to buy the tudor leather strap as an extra?

Thanks , initially sounds pricey but then when you think about it you get a whole new look for a little extra.

One more question : Are the links on the metal bracelet solid ( like the subc ) or hollow like the old subs?

They are solid. Can't imagine they are hollow. Fit and finish is on par with Rolex. Someone may know more, but I believe the only difference is in the quality of the steel.

Centerlinks are indeed solid.

Maybe not the quality, but the type of steel is different (316L). Something I noticed with my red BB is that the steel (case & bracelet) have a slight yellowish/pinkish hue. This is very difficult to see by itself or to capture in pictures, but when you have it side by side with a Rolex or even an Omega, it's definitely there.

It seems Orlando is one of the first places in the US to get the now Rolex releases. So my guess in the US anyway it will be the Tudor AD at Florida Mall in Orlando and that is Mayors.

Hands on today in Minneapolis. Couldn't take mine home. Just a demo.

If you are in Mpls--Tudor event is tomorrow from 4-7pm.
