I had a good birthday, despite having a lousy cold!

The Stowa Icarus I had bought from a guy in Germany didn't arrive for my birthday, but that was OK 'cause I bought this for my birthday

Had this one with a black dial once and sold it. I've regretted it ever since as it's likely my favourite dive watch I've owned.

Then the Icarus arrived today

Hard to tell from the pics but it has a really nice silver dial. The movement is much nicer than I expected too, with nice decoration and blued screws. And, the watch is in like new condition, other than the strap. I'm well pleased!

Before I catch hell for buying more watches, I just have to say that I'm getting them while I can afford them, and I don't have to pay that nasty VAT in the UK Anyway, I'm done for awhile, except for maybe straps.
Cheers,
Bruce

Nicely done, Bruce. Both great looking watches.

Now what are you going to do for an encore when you hit the big 50 next year?

Ed, he already has one.... And it doesn't piss me off. I quite like the GMTII... just not quite as much as the black ExpII.

Thanks again everyone! The Stowa hasn't been getting a lot of time as I'm so infatuated with this Breitling. I'm afraid it has taken over the number one spot in my WIS heart
Cheers,
Bruce

I know the problem. Although the GMT is still #1, the Olympus has clearly taken up the #2 role. I keep switching between the two. When I wear one, I miss the other. I may have to start wearing one on each wrist to avoid this problem.

I can't seem to NOT wear this Superocean Ed. I've had the new Stowa on a couple of times, for not very long and I wore my Nighthawk while loading a dumpster today, but then the SO went back on.

Then curiosity got the better of me and I put a blue shark strap on it. Looks damn good, but I love that bracelet. It'll probably go back on tomorrow

What is it about these Breitlings that has this strange hold on us, Bruce.

I had my GMT on for the last few days, but this morning, I just had to put the Olympus back on again. Hopefully I'll be strong enough to switch back to the GMT tomorrow for the work week.

So are the Rollies spinning away on the winders?

Same here, guys....had on my Exp-II but then for some inexplicable reason switched over to the Crosswind.
