Different inserts carry different prices at the RSC's. I had my 16710 "Pepsi" changed to a "Coke" at the BH RSC and they quoted me $48 as the exchange price, or $78 as a one-time price where I get to keep my "Pepsi." Since they know me there they were willing to let me keep my original insert, but they were very reluctant to do so.
If you have a rare or special edition insert like the LV, they are very careful not to let extras go floating around and end up on ebay or some fake watch. Hence the higher price, and exchange only policy. |

I spend a lot of the time in the UK and since there is no RSC nearby at home, I have regular dealings with the RSC there.
All aluminium inserts are the same price apart from the insert for the LV. The LV insert has been at a premium price for some time now, well over a year, maybe 2-3, earlier poster must have only paid £40 due to an error by Rolex. To those suggesting removing the insert and taking an insertless watch to RSC - you can do this, however Rolex will charge a 50% surcharge when supplying the part. The same applies if you wish to have your original insert returned. Under no circumstances will they return an LV insert, supply an LV insert to a non-LV Sub or supply an LV insert to an insertless watch. |
