Singaporean AP brethren...some advice!

Hello all,

I will be making Singapore a one day layover en route to other parts of asia (originally it was Bangkok...but the situation there isn't exactly friendly right now)

any advice on what to do? things to see? places to eat (one very special dinner)? I will be staying at Marina Bay Sands (bucket list to stay there and swim in the pool)

AP boutique is on my list. but anything else?

Night market, hawker food stalls, shopping x10, Tiger beer, you're staying at a great place. One day is WAY too short.

Welcome to Singapore, my home country! Many things to see and do. Since you are staying at Marina Bay, you should of course take a swim at the Skypark. Right below Marina Bay Sands is the massive MBS Shoppes and also lots of watch boutiques there. The other place to shop will be at Orchard Road.

For the most breath-taking view in Singapore, take a dinner at the Equinox restaurant at the top floor of the Swissotel Stamford Raffles and request a Window Seat. If you have kids with you then go a visit to the Night Safari or Zoo will be fun for them. Forget about Sentosa as it is rather artificial. Do tried out the hawker centres located all throughout the Island for local food.

If you love exercise and hiking, I will suggest take a jog at forest track of MacRitchie Reservoir and Bukit Timah Hill. Have a good trip!

You can also go for drinks at Lantern at Fullerton Bay Hotel or 1-Altitude at Raffles Place to enjoy the view.

One day isn't too much time:) you can definitely take in the sights around MBS. Head down to Clarke quay for a evening drink and hit one of the clubs. If you're into something less hectic, live music at timbre could be an option before heading to the casinos to try your luck through the night

Good luck!

Welcome in advice!
One day is too short! Since, you are heading to AP Boutique you may head down to ION for your shopping trip...ION is one of the biggest and upper class shopping mall in Orchard and there are a number of watch boutiques too! Just a couple of minutes from AP Boutique. Bugis Junction is another place you can consider visiting....

Have a drink and/or dinner at SALT on top of ION. Good view, decent food and walking distance to AP, PP, Rolex, Lange and Panerai ADs and boutiques

For dinner, I would suggest chili crab. I think I ate it at Jumbo Seafood. It tasted good. Maybe the locals would know of a better place for chili crab. Also have a Singapore sling at the Raffles hotel. Enjoy your trip.

I am no expert but just try some good hainan chicken, laksa, and kaya toast. Very Singaporean dishes that taste amazing.

Don't forget to look out for AP wall clocks hanging around Changi Airport and take a wristshot with it!
