Beautiful face and neat complication but not exactly practical if you ask me. It isn't the easiest teller of time at a glance either. Nothing wrong with it, beautifully designed, just not practical for many I'd imagine.

I know there are those who would say that not many climb mountains, go on polar expeditions, dive professionally, or pilot aircraft but I have done a few of those things in the Navy and regardless many of us time things and travel to different time zones. Then again I have a friend who sails weekly and competes regularly, he's a guy I could see picking this up.

Where I live, the richest part of Italy with plenty of Rolex watches around, I've never seen a YM II outside the watch shops.

I would prefer this one in gold if I could afford one. I did get to try one on, and boy is it hefty.

I do like the fact that they are not everywhere and I am not a yellow gold fan. If you like bigger watches, then you might want to look at this.
Out of the 5 ADs in my local area, there was only one in stock. I ran over to check it out and by the time I got there, it sold. Luckly the new owner was there and let me try it on, then I knew I needed it. Thanks to DavidSW, I got one a couple weeks later.

It seems to suit some markets better than others. I've never seen one in an AD or on a wrist in Europe. I personaly think the original YM is 100times better looking, with far more class.
