Help me determine the age of my watch
I was given a rolex submariner date 18k watch that has never been worn. I've found the model number 16618 and the bracelet 92908. I don't know what the serial number is without removing the bracelet, so is there another way to determine the age of this watch? Thanks for your help.

That is one heck of a gift man! Welcome to TRF.
Were there no papers with it? Does it have the engraved ring around the dial? Pictures might be of help. |

Welcome to TRF!
As stated, very nice gift! You never got the box and papers? Anyway, any AD will be happy to check the serial number for you. You can then post the letter in front of the serial number plus the first two numbers (not the rest!) here, so that we can better judge the date of it. Enjoy your stay here!
