Thought I'd share my 3 new exciting acquisitions...

Very nice line up of Fountain pens you have there and they all go very nicely with your GMT. If I may ask, what size nibs are you using to write with in your fantastic new pens???

I got the Homo Sapiens with a fine nib and the Salvator Dali with a Medium. I ordered the Michelangelo with a Broad nib but I'm suspecting that the ink using with is is too liquid and thus producing an extra broad stroke.

i must agree when I ventured into fountain pens I was looking at that back to black Visconti, however the ego in me won and I purchased the Mont Blanc.

Visconti is next though

I was told owning a Mont Blanc fountain pen is like picking up an attractive blonde. Looks great in public, does the job but you know you would just like something different after a while.

To do this day I'm with a brunette, and eyeing off a set of back to black viscontis.

On a side note, what ink are you currently using>?

My day to day black ink is from Montblanc but in the 3 Viscontis, I use Noodler's Ink which for colored ink, they have the best shading and coloration IMHO.

I picked up the Turquoise Eel, Apache Sunset and the Lexington grey. I can't say enough good things about that ink. I'll post a picture later today.

Thanks, Im looking as now Im more out and about and not wanting to take my Mont Blanc out, to get a slightly cheaper pen and have my eye on a few inks, however I find some are to wet, especially when a daily FP I use is a F nib.

Here's the line up using all Noodler's Ink. I find the shading and color variation of Noodler's ink to be just fabulous...That Apache sunset makes writing notes a real pleasure!

You'll notice that Noodler's ink is perfect for Fine and Medium nibs, it does appear as though it is too "liquid" for broad nibs and ends up too wet on the paper. I just used a regular scrap paper I had around so it's not ideal for the test but still shows the variations.

That orange looks amazing and the blue i quite like. I had both MB Midnight blue and Royal Blue and always prefer the light blues.

Might just have to have a look at more pens now
