Pam 233 or 39 mm ap roc
Should I trade my pam 233 dot dial for a ap royal oak chrono 39mm? I'm adding 3k for the trade! Need help!! I currently have a ap rubberclad and ss daytona and the hulk.

I would rather keep the 233. It's an awesome and robust watch and it fits better (IMHO) with your collection (you already have 2 chronos - one of which is the Daytona, so you have dress-up chrono covered). Plus, yours is a dot dial.
That being said, it seems like a pretty good trade and the ROC is really beautiful. Good luck with the choice! |

I would keep the 233, The strap game keeps this watch interesting to me, I also agree with Cru Jones as well.

I'd keep the 233. The best PAM in my opinion.

I'd go AP, keep the 233 and sell the Daytona. I realize that wasn't the question, but that is what I would do.

233 is nice but 3k more for an ROC seems like a more than fair deal. In fact a great one, go for it !
Sadly I am in the for sale section so much its crazy that I remember the used pricing I see for all these models LOL. |

Done deal pics to come soon, paneristis ill be back thinking of getting a pam sub for a beater. 233 was too nice and my problem was the case of the pam. Can't differentiate a 233 to a gmt far away. Panerai needs to do some drastic change or introduce a new case. Just my humble opinon. Thanks everyone.

Congrats! The 39mm ROC is a great watch. I got rid of my Daytona for the ROC and haven't looked back. I do have a 121 as a sporty, but smaller PAM. I agree that most PAMs look the same and their model numbers are nearly random. You sound like you're consolidating and moving up so probably won't miss the PAM. Your Daytona is probably starting to sweat a little...

Sweet! Look at getting a 111 or 372 to backfill the PAM.

That's what I thought because my Daytona was almost twice as much as my other watches. But it wouldn't surprise me if your toughest and most frequent decision will be "Rubberclad or ROC?" Great dilemma to have! |

Nice! Congrats! 39mm ROC is pretty spectacular.
A nice 005/111/000 and you get the PAM "feel" for less cash and can keep using your straps. |

Congrats on your choice. I had both the 233 and 39mm ROC so I am glad I didn't have to make the tough decision between the two. The ROC is amazing and to be honest even when I had both I went for the ROC more often than the 233 since it is so versatile. Looking forward to the wrist shots.
For me the 233 is the one with sentimental value so hard to let that one go. |
