Ebay is full of ceramic

I visited ebay.com to check the price for the older 16710 gmt's and i typed gmt master II at the search bar hit search and i saw page full of ceramic gmt's TT's SS and full gold versions. They are becoming more and more

People still have a chance to grab a 16710 as there are many of them out there and there are many in the second hand market too. It's going to take a while for them to go up in value but i think that it deserves to have such a classic rolex.

Do you guys think that rolex still produces the old GMT's cause as i said the AD here brought an M serial here and as i mentioned in another thread i went to check it today and it was sold to a private collector that's what they told me.

It wouldn't surprise me if new 16710s are still being produced, but cases are no longer being made and stamped.

Do you think that it would be a good idea to grab one since they are still available even if it is from the second hand market ?

I would say that they will be comparatively "affordable" for some time. Wait until you can more easily afford one, IMO.

When you get the funds, I would buy one if I were you, Velitsko. Not because it might become collectable and therefore rise in price but because it's such a nice classic, as you say. Besides that there's nothing wrong with buying one from a grey dealer as long as you just make sure you check the dealer out before buying the watch.

I found many BNIB or LNIB here in greece and the prices range from 2800-3500 euros. I think that they are good deals and i can have the money in 5-6 months cause i found a job as a translator and i get good money.

I think that it's worht to have this classic watch and i just adore GMT's

PS The list price in greece is 4750 euros for 16710 gmt's

Ah yes, shipping and customs sucks. Can you have someone in the US buy it for you then ship it? If that would help you let me know as I can help. Of course I can provide many business as well as personal references. Best...Mark

It's certainly not unwise to try and get your hands on one for safekeeping...

Exactly my thoughts. Prices are low now and my thought was to get one and just have it i mean you never know what happens. In the worst case i will sell it and get my money back again.

They're still being produced. One of the ADs I use just got two in - one black/red, one pepsi, both M serial #s.

Rolex has a lot of cases to go through...
