Probably one of the best pens in the world

The Montblanc Skeleton 333 needs no introduction.

An extremely expensive pen.....but it makes an incredible statement.

as a fountain pen fan and Mont Blanc fan, I still cannot see how that is attractive. Some of their Writers pens are interesting and unusual but that dare is say it is hideous.

At that price you might have thought it could have been solid platinum, but alas it is only platinum plated.
Although platinum is a very heavy material, given the pen is a skeleton it might have worked.
