Accurist -v- Time.Gov... difference of 32 secs?!

I just opened two windows on my computer and put Accurist [http://www.accurist123.com/] in one and Time.Gov [http://www.time.gov/timezone.cgi?Eastern/d/-5/java] in the other. I live in the Eastern Time Zone.

At 9:14 pm (using Accurist) Time.Gov was 32 seconds SLOWER. Accurist read: 9:14:00, while Time.Gov read 9:13:28.

Can someone else check this and see if the two are different on your computer? Something does not seem right here. These two time centers should be within a second of each other, shouldn't they?

Thank you.

On my PC, the two are dead-on synchronized.

Is your PC overclocked?

On my PC, they are about a second or so apart, not 32 seconds though.

Running on a MacBook Pro (2007). Please explain re: overclocked. Thanks.

I had another person over on an Omega forum check and he was 32 seconds off also. I find it hard to believe that the two sites would be off... a second or two max would be my guess.

My computer is about a second slower than Time.Gov.

When I reset the windows, they are NOW about a second apart... Accurist slightly faster.

Sorry for the confusion folks. Just a little tired on my end...

You're not overclocked.

This NIST document explains three different time services available on time.gov.

I have tried numerous times to have accurist be syncronized with my Daytona flash clock on my desktop (the one Jeff made), but it does not seem to work.

I've heard from someone that it has got something to do with which server the site is routed through to you. I don't know computers but have noticed this too. I'm a bit doubtful about Accurist123 now... One day my watch is on time, a few days leter 10-25sec fast, then back on time in a few more?!

I don't use Accurist123.com anymore. It has been off MANY times.

time.gov and http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com has always been dead on...

Accurist123.com on the top, time.gov on the bottom take a few days ago...

www.accurist123.com does seem to work fine if you just make sure to update it frequently via the update button included in its software (NOT the IE update button F5).
