It depends on what year the bracelet is made.

Hi Jocke,

Why are there inconsistency, where some have the 50 stamped and some without unless we are talking about transition period? Your input will help. thanks

Band stamps were pretty uncommon on Jubilee bracelets for the most part...

There's no inconsistency. Same Jubile bracelets were used by Rolex on Gmt (with 50 engraved) and on DJ (without).

As the spring bar diameter isn't the same, so were the 1st link (and the EL) différents. Larger for Gmt than for DJ.

"50" was a reference to when this difference was 1st needed, for the 16750 Gmt.

So, to answer the OP, his bracelet with "50" for a rootbeer GMT is totally correct.

My late '80's Root Beer has the 50 bracelet and 450 EL's. All original.

Thanks mate, appreciate your explanation on the difference between the two. I have been reading a lot on the Root Beer lately and happened to chance upon this thread which is not too "old" to revive and ask for some advice.

There isn't a detailed article written on the Root Beer, is there? Unlike the Subs , where it is easier to find a knowledgeable collector who has written in details a particular model, I have only managed to find bits and pieces of info on the Root Beer on the various forums.

So the end link should be a 402B? Any idea about the bracelet and end link for 16753?

Love the nipple dial to the max!

"50" Jubilé bracelet is 62510 for SS Gmt/Gmt2 and 62523 for TT Gmt/gmt2.

SS: EL 502/502B for 16700,16710,16760 - EL 550 for 16750

TT: EL 402B for 16713 - EL 450 for 16753
