GMT II clasp is scratched after two weeks.... Best method of polishing?

Scratches are going to happen. My advice is to live with it and when it's time to send it to RSC it'll come back looking like new!

I find the best way to avoid all scratches is to wear the watch on your ankle. In this OP's case, he should leave it in the box and use his cel for the time.

A few battle scars on Rolex's sports watches give them character. As others have said you will have plenty more before long. Just enjoy your beautiful watch.

Then you'd be back at square one- the first ding will upset you again. Save yourself some money and another headache!

I have a 13yo Omega and I've never once polished it. There are so many scratches that if the same thing happened to my Omega, I wouldn't even notice. There is a certain charm that comes with a nice with a patina of scratches and you don't worry or even look at the watch anymore after banging it into a door or table.

If it makes you feel better, I have a TT sub-c that is less than 2 months old and there are already several hairline scratches on the gold part of the clasp and two of the gold PCLs have a nasty scratch to them. And they're both high up so I see them every time I check the time. What's done is done and I'd rather bang up the watch on my wrist than leave it in the box at home.
