Rolex Explorer II 16570 Black Dial **RANDOM SERIAL** with 3186 movement - Last Run
We have here the classic sized Rolex Explorer II 16570 in black dial format from the "random serial" with the 3186 movement, blue parachrom hairspring, and engraved rehaut. This is the very last run and truly the last of these great 40mm sized Explorer IIs before they were discontinued. I am not the original owner from the beginning so I can not say it is UNPOLISHED but the lugs are nice and thick with clear case lines and symmetrical crown guards. The glass is perfect and time keeping is what one would expect from Rolex. Some wear marks on the bezel and the bracelet clasp but overall, I would rate the condition as "very good" or if you want a number, let's give it a lucky 88%.
If you are looking for a black dial Explorer II 16570 with 3186 movement and box and paper, I would think the very last random serial run would be most desirable model to own from collectibility standpoint. The package: • Random serial black dial Explorer II 16570 • Box (presentation box and outer card) • Warranty Paper dated and signed in 2011 • Rolex service booklet, Rolex Warranty booklet, Rolex Explorer II owner's manual • Red hang tag • Polishing cloth Few scans: Price: $5688 shipped within CONUS or trade for? Many references for your review under "Who's Who Section" and local deal here in the NYC metro area is always welcome over a beer or coffee! Thanks for reading!
