Was the 16660 SD ever made with a matt dial with White Gold surrounding the Indeces?
There was a Triple 6 Sea Dweller recently sold on an auction site that was advertised as having an original matt dial with WG Surrounds around the indeces and I wondered if this dial was made by Rolex or could it have been a glossy dial faded to matt? There is also a similar dial on its own currently advertised with the claim that they were made for a few months only. Were they ever made? Thanks in advance for your replies.

no they did not. however some of the early gloss dials have been known to haze and fade to a matt finish.
