Air King question

Hey guys,
I've never seen air king on the dial with that typography. But I think that´s quite an early Air king too.

Give it a look, Is the rial real of aftermarket?

Thanks

Hahaha! It was one of D'oh! moments. Thanks for pointing out the obvious David. Although, beyond that is that an original rolex desing of a dial or is it a "creative" aftermarket?.

Just realized something, does it actually say "SUPERLATIV CHRONOMETER"? Or is it just me?

Definitely a re-done or fake dial. 1005 was an Oyster Perpetual anyway, but Air Kings did often have a 1005 case back fitted originally. It all depends on what the side of the case says, and I can't see that.

YEs it does! I didn't notice that at first...fir sure a repaint dial, probably from Asia or somewhere else where English is not the language. The movement and case look good, but for the price you could get one with a gen dial.
