Icon5 DDII (wg) vs a DJII (white gold bezel) is the DDII worth the difference in cost ??

Just curious and still confused. Should I keep the DJII (white dial) with fluted bezel) or trade for a DDII (wg) with white or black dial ???

I just picked up a SS Daytona (white face) 2014 new in the box and have a DJII (with white face). I was originally looking for a DDII in gold but was not feeling the gold color on me once I had it on my wrist.

so the question .... Is it worth the extra cost to go from a DJII to a DDII (wg). Or just keep the 2 that I have ???

does anyone have any photos of the 2 side by side ???

I think at least has one gold rolex in the collection at one point, see how you feel about it. It is different than SS :-) when you put it on your wrist. Maybe try it at AD. How about WG Sub? It is one of the most beautiful WG rolex out there. For DD, I like YG better. Just my two cents.

i don't have the side by side comparison.

however, i can say, without question it is worth it. the DD2 is absolutely worth every penny.

it is an amazing watch, and so very different. incredibly different.

Yes. They are totally different watches that just happen to look somewhat similar. If I was in a position to do so I would upgrade to a DD.

Easy call for some (myself included) but I can see your dilemma. Speaking strictly from the perspective of the cash difference, no way. Speaking from the soul and my love of watches, the history, heritage and style are definitely worth the difference.
If it weren't for my passion for watches, I could give you the same time from a Casio G-Shock...

thanks guys,
I was thinking of only having a DD2 (wg) as the daily watch, but the it would not seem as special when you put it on. I am going to keep the Daytona (white dial) and then trade up to the DD (wg)..... Now what color dial (I like white) ??? not the question is... white dial Daytona and a white dial DD2 (wg)

DDII (wg) vs a DJII (white gold bezel) is the DDII worth the difference in c...

Ever considered trading your DJ for another DJ but with a different dial (ie. Black for example?)
If funds weren't an issue, I too would trade up!
As most have posted, price difference is worth it! :-)
From pics, I thought the blue one looked off... But was lucky enough to see one in the metal and WOW!

* edit: this was the model I posted about (pic from Swiss luxury and not mine)

Trade up to the DD and it is definitely worth the price difference. You won't regret it. Most of the DD models are people's grail so you are definitely upgrading

I love the DDII but would go with rose gold, or possibly yellow. If you want the stainless/WG color I would actually suggest getting the DJII. It's just a huge jump in cost to go to a WG DDII and the color is so similar.

I'm a daily DDII lover, albeit in yellow, and absolutely love and adore the watch.

I have seen one WG DDII in the wild, and it looks nothing like the DJII. Something about the WG DDII captures the eye from across the room in an instant with it's radiance and brilliance.

While there is a price difference, I think it is more than justified, in real life.

In my opinion, the DD II is worth the difference from the DJ II. Currently I do not own a DD or DD II, but plan to add a DD to my collection one day. I have the DJ and DJ II and love wearing both.

Coincidently enough, I was at an AD this morning trying on the DD and DD II. The weight difference from the DD's compared to the DJ's is amazing. The DD's feel so much heavier and sturdier, not to suggest DJ's aren't, but a big difference can be felt. If funds were not a concern, I would not hesitate to upgrade to a DD. My preference would be a YG DD with a white roman dial. Pure classic.

Yes you must see this dial in person, it looks a bit too much at first but looking at its best it is fantastic and also nice not to have two white dials.

I own a DDii in white gold and an ivory face and love it. The President bracelet is so comfortable and looks great.
