So how do they fix "overplishing"? how do they put more materials back to the case? Could someone enlighten me?

I suspect they removed more metal to restore the factory edges. As long as you are not armed with a micrometer and a factory new case for comparison, the result should be satisfactory. If the idea is troubling, I think they make a medication for that :)
