Giving watches to family members.

My 75 year old father really admires my Sea Dweller. So I thought, well, I can only wear one watch at a time; Life is short, let him have it and enjoy it.

He is really happy with it, so I don't miss owning it...

That's nice!

You normally hear of dads passing on their watches - that's how I got my datejust and a couple of other vintage watches.

Hope he was still around for me to return the favor.

Good Job! I was lucky enough to give my uncle a rolex off of my arm that he was admiring for sometime. It just makes you feel good to see them happy.

Wow, what a great gift. You have me thinking of doing the same thing. My grandfather had three and my father thought he might inherit them. Turns out when he died my step grandmother sold them all. He has plenty of money but just can't take the plunge. I may have to go ahead and buy him a new one as a gift.
