FSOT: Rolex 1002 14kt Solid Yellow Gold Recently Serviced $1600 Shipped
I have for sale or trade a Rolex 1002 in Solid 14kt Gold with a 1.2 milion serial number indicating production around 1960 which had it's movement recently serviced by Tarrytown Jewelers in May of this year.
The dial and hands appear to be original and do show pitting/corrosion from 50 years of aging. The service consisted of ultrasonically cleaning the movement's parts, a new mainspring being installed, new gaskets being installed and oiling and timing the watch. The receipt for the servicing will be included with purchase and cost $375. There was no cosmetic work done on the watch during the service as I originally planned on finding a nicer dial but I have yet to find one for this model - the acrylic crystal was swapped out with a new aftermarket one and now has a few scuffs from wearing it the past 4 months including one I tried to take a picture of around the Rolex logo on the dial. As visible in pictures the caseback is engraved "Julius Neuman 25 Years Service 1966 VONS." It weighs 42.3 grams on my digital scale without the strap attached. This watch is attached to a 19mm Hadley Roma Brown Teju Skin Strap with Gold-tone buckle which is only a couple months old. I am asking $1600 firm shipped by USPS Priority Mail to anywhere in the United States. I will not ship internationally unless to a forum member with substantial references. I will also consider trading this for mens Rolex or Omega watches of similar value if it's a local transaction in the Connecticut/New York/Massachusetts area, please PM me what you have for trade as I am very open minded. I am seller boostedonesix on eBay for feedback references. I can be reached by PM, by ebay messaging, or by phone at (203) 470-2203 but I generally work until 7pm and can't take calls until after that time unless it's a day off work. Thanks, David |
