FS: ATTN COLLECTORS: RARE ORIGINAL "Y" Serial 50th Anniv. Sub. Never Worn - complete
Over 10+ years ago I purchased one of these beauties from an Authorized Rolex retailer. After I bought the watch I put it away. I never wore it (not even to try it on).
You will not find another genuine original 50th Anniversary Sub in better condition. This is not a 'random serial number' watch, but rather a genuine "Y" serial number Sub from the year of the actual 50th anniversary. It is not "like new", it IS NEW and has NEVER been WORN. It is as fresh as it was the day it left the factory in Switzerland over a decade ago. All protective stickers intact -- including the case edge stickers and plastic bezel protector. Even the plastic protective tape on the roundish red tag is still intact. All original packaging • Inserts • 2 Tags • Inner and outer box. Pristine. • Metal Anchor doohickey, still in its plastic protective pouch • Warranty certificate (indicates date of my purchase, my name, serial number, retailer, etc.) My price is $10,500. I accept cash (US Currency), wire transfer or Paypal (+ 3%). I’m in Chicago and although I would prefer a local transaction for your safety and mine, I’m willing to ship the watch if you trust someone local to inspect/verify the watch before it’s shipped. If they can ship it once payment is made, this would great. I’m new on this board and joined for the specific purpose of selling this watch. I have no references from here (another reason a local buyer would be better). I took the photos a few days ago and apologize that they’re not as good as some of the photos from others here with more experience in taking photos of watches. Contact me directly at: [email protected] Thank you for looking. -Rick |

Here is a more recent shot. Pardon the random imperfections in the photo. Took it with my crappy cell phone camera. An in-person inspection would verify that this watch is in factory-new, unblemished condition.
Price still $10,500. No trades. |

Bumping.
If you're free today, be sure to watch the Little League World Series Championship Game with a team from right here in Chicago representing the United States against the team from South Korea. These kids are amazing! 3:00 pm (Eastern Standard Time) |

We moved to the suburbs a few weeks ago and just today I found the MEDIA KIT that I received when I bought this watch from the AD years ago. It's included with the sale and like the watch, it's in pristine condition.
It includes a CD with high-res files of all the printed documents, 2 large printed photos of Submariner watches, three pages detailing the history of the watch, and a booklet containing Rolex advertisements from the last 50 years. All contained in an attractive official Rolex green folder with a silver belly label. |
