Which ALS for business/dress use?

Not talking black tie, just daily use to alternate with a rose gold JLC 986. Want a rose gold watch with a black strap. Choosing between Datograph (used) or new Grande Lange 1 or 1815 Chrono.

Personally I'd go with the Grand 1, but no wrong choices here.

I truly cannot decide. For my first Lange, I sort of imagined going grand lange 1. But if the dato and 1815 chrono are in your budget....its a tough decision. Good luck sir.

To be honest, I have an 1815 chrono, and I'd even pick the datograph

Try them all on

They all feel quite different to each other. You should add the L1 Moonphase, Richard Lange and straight 1815 to your list. Get yourself to an AD or better still a Boutique and spend a long time trying them on and comparing - don't rush it!

Consider waiting a bit until the grand Lange 1 is available where you are. I saw it in Germany and was blown away.

If a "simple" three hand watch will do, you wouldn't go wrong with a RG Richard Lange.

Hmm, I have owned a Lange 1 (not the grande), the Dato and an 1815 chrono at different times. So, I can only comment on the Dato and 1815 chrono. As great as the Dato is/was I found it was "cold" looking on my wrist exhibiting no warmth. The 1815 chrono on the other hand worked well for business with a suit, business casual or just casual. But really, how can you go wrong with any of these!

Best part of a Dato!
