Question for Avalon

I was just looking (again) at your great GO pix. Man that is one sweeet looking watch.

Given the rather unusual dial design, has anyone (non-WIS) ever asked about it? I mean, the JLC is beautiful, but on first glance it's a pretty 'standard' looking watch, while the GO has the 'odd' dials and the date placement.

Just wondering.

I am not Al, but I know the guy selling this watch personally and I almost made a move for it. Then I remembered that I am a slob that only wears khaki pants and either a mock turtleneck or a plain golf shirt everyday.

It seriously is a beautiful watch.

Daren, that's a different watch from Al's altogether. His is a PanoReserve and that's a Senator with PR/moon and panorama date.

It's still a beauty though.

I know, but the brand is the same.

I just thought I would chime in, you know, in a place where I was way above my head.

Well John.......no, no one has ever made a comment to me "out of the blue" on this watch.

Anyone who has ever asked me about it, knew I was "into" watches and knew I was getting it. I think most people who have seen it like it very much, but I've never had a comment from someone who simply noticed it.

You talked about the JLC, and despite it's "plain" or "traditional" look, that is one watch that someone saw once and was very interested in. I'm not sure the person really knew what it was, but they went out of their way to pay me a compliment and ask for a better look. That's never happened with any other watch I own, including the Rolex. In fact, the only thing anyone has ever said to me about the Rolex is "Is it real?"

Thanks Craig! I have to say I really love the PanoReserve. The dial finishing is incredible, and the movement......well it speaks for itself.

Interesting. BTW, I wasn't knocking the JLC, cuz you know I really love that watch. In fact, your GO and JLC are about the only two 'dress' watches I'd ever want.

I just wondered about the GO because the dial layout is somewhat unusual.
