Which RSC? Dallas or New York?
Hi,
I would just like to ask if anyone has a preference of these two Service Centers? I know they should be the same as they employ only authorized watchmakers, but just trying to work out if one may have provided better service to owners? Looking to send my BLNR in for a warranty adjustment and already hate the thought of being without it. Your views are very much appreciated. |

Either should be fine for warranty work.
Dallas seems to get better comments around here though.

Can't comment on NYC, but I had great customer service from Dallas when I sent a watch there.

I just sent my Tudor Heritage Chrono to Dallas for a warranty issue. Excellent service from them. I initially called NYC, but they said Dallas is the only RSC who does Tudor. So, +2 for Dallas here.

When I took my 16570 in at RSC in Beverly Hills, they said they don't do the work there. All the works are sent out to Dallas so yeah.. Dallas. lol

I had a bad experience with the NY RSC. Next time I need to send a watch in for warranty work, it's going to Dallas. Anything outside of warranty goes to Rik.

Dallas consistently gets the best reviews here. Maybe a little faster transit going from there to Dallas vs NY.

Excellent, I called Dallas RSC and the lady in customer service sent me an email on how to package and ship. Seems they will refuse the watch if it's not in a box sealed with "brown paper tape" and would not accept if it was with the clear tape.
I guess the USPS would do this as its required to be sent via registered mail?? We will see. |

You can also ask them to mail you a shipping kit. It will come with a foam lined box with a cutout for the watch and the paper tape to seal the box. That's what I did and it made it really simple. Sent from my iPad Air 2 using Tapatalk (so I blame autocorrect for the spellin' errs)

I have great experience with both. I prefer NY because I know the people there and I enjoy talking with them (phone or in person) anytime I need something.
Sorry you will be without your watch. I always hate being without one of mine. You will have a great experience with Dallas or NY. Both are great. Let us know who you choose as well as your experience. |

This is the first time I've heard this and find it hard to believe that Rolex would allow amateurs to work on the watches. Dealer BS? |

One of the sub-dial hands fell off my SS Daytona. I sent it to the NY RSC for warranty work. The watch came back with scratches on the case back, so I sent it back again. All was good after that and they reimbursed me for the shipping charges.

The requesting of a shipping kit sounds like a good plan, thank you Baco Noir!

Never used NY, strongly recommend Dallas. They did a great job on a 5513 for me. I packed my own, but the shipping kit sounds great. Thanks, baco!
