MWC James Bond Watch

All this talk about these Pro Hunter watches and Special Ops watches got me (pro) hunting around on the internet.

I came across this...

James Bond Style (Rolex A03 Submariner) Divers Watch

This watch was made by MWC for a contract and we have a small number available. This is a Swiss automatic divers watch and is the closest we have seen to the 1959 Rolex A03 Submariner. The watch is supplied with an MI6 G10 pattern strap as worn by James Bond in Goldfinger, although this could easily be replaced for any standard strap. The image above shows the watch together with a smaller insert of the watch worn in the film and one of the strap. This is a totally 'clean' watch with no markings on at all. The high quality movement means the hand 'sweeps' like the original and does not 'tick' like cheap copies. A photo of an original Rolex is shown below for comparison. Please note that this is not a replica or copy, the resemblance is purely coincidental.

I quite like it...I know it's a bit of a rip off but £100 or so for an ETA based daily beater. What do you think?

How much is that in US dollars? I think ETA movements are great and are in a lot of very high end watches. This looks like a classic and I think is a good value for a beater watch.

It looks like a Sub on a NATO Strap . James Bond here comes the next 008 .
