It's good to passionate about things Jason, or life would be pretty boring!!

And this is certainly not a problem on my $200 seiko diver at the beach....
The tolerance of the rotating bezel and case leaves NO ROOM for sand.

I agree with jason, the new ceramic bezel design is POOR for a tool watch, good for bling/shiny.
The price of your Seiko has nothing to do with it, the fact that all rotating bezels have a small gap to the case is!
Any of which will get some foreign material in if the conditions are right. The fact that it hasn't happened yet, doesn't mean it won't!
Your choice is to not wear that 114060 at the beach because of this, all I can say is what a shame.....but it is you're watch.
I wear all mine(ceramic and aluminum) in all conditions, with a simple rinse afterwards, and never an issue!

Salt water is not a friendly stuff
It isn't vulnerable at all.

After I cleaned batman up, the second time I went for beach swim, I wore a timex instead. Haha.
