I bought a Day-Date from him in the mid '90s. I was new to it all, it was a fair deal with no issues, Lee was a bit on the pushy side though. Be sure to shop around.

I agree with what you say exactly the same first time buying 5513 submariner from him. After I purchased the watch from I was a bit concerned but I think you are right he does tend to be a bit expensive it is worth shopping around, but I learn't the hard way buying on impluse it pays to shop around he is a bit bit pushy but I was in holiday mode. Thanks for the advice I love the watch is the main thing. Charlie |

Do a search on the web for his name. You'll find reviews.

apologies he is on 57th avenue he does have another shop on opposite side of the road which is rarely open I found out he owned, being from UK still can't get use to the difference between streets and avenues and tend to get lost,

Hee, hee! These are fantasy prices. You bring them a Patek and they scoff, "Oh, no one will ever buy that, I'll give you $900." You ask about a time-only Breitling "Oh, that's a rare model, most of them are chronographs, $3200." Perfectly nice people but no one BUYS from them. There's a reason they have so much attractive stock.

Wow, looks like Lee got himself a google consultant service and is trying to clean up his online image. Notice the reviews (going back 1+ year) prior in time to 12/30/14. All of sudden his store gets 3 glowing reviews in the same day? Yeah, buddy....

This man and this shop are clowns. I brought a full set gilt GMT in there just to see what he would give me on trade and he offered me $3500. No, I am not kidding. I asked him if I could trade it in against a 1655 Explorer 2 and he told me I would have to pay HIM $25,000 on top of my full set Gilt. Seriously? Have you ever seen any Explorer 2 sell for 25k and a full set Gilt for $3500?
This guy isnt stupid, but I feel his business practices border on criminal. He is no longer in his old location, he is across the street. Still on 57th street but, his store is like that of a hoarders. At what point is an offer so low that it is criminal and at what point is a watch priced so absurdly that it isnt ethical? These are questions we all would probably answer differently but, to me what he tried to pull on me was so offensive that I wanted to smack the SH-T out of him in the store, but I played dumb and said "really, it isnt that rare" and a 1985 Explorer 2 is worth close to 30k, I had no idea... |
