No Date Sub COSC

...The Watchseller site has a Z series ND COSC Sub for sale at $4350. unworn..Seems like a super price and "The Watchseller" seems to have a very good reputation. My questions are these: The description states that the watch does not as yet have SEL, and the lugs show spring bar holes. Could this be the case on a Z series? Are all the ND subs featuring these lack of updates or is it just a case of transitioning..This model is starting to grow on me...extremely clean looking, but I would want the updated features. Any intel on this?

The description sounds accurate, the ND Sub does have lug holes which goes with the non SEL. That is a great price for a amazing watch.

Watchseller is excellent!

And...All ND Subs are non-SEL, and do have lug holes.

Hope you get it!

After thinking about it a bit, you might be able to find a better price on a used COSC no date, but they don't seem to come up for sale that often. If you were to buy from a AD that would be a great price.

James Bond didnt need SELs!

Get this watch before other aspects of its fine heritage are lost forever. EG SELs, Maxi dial, ceramic bezels etc.

,,I won't buy it because I like the SEL and the non-hole lugs..If ND subs will not have these features indefinitely, they're not for me.

I for my part am also very tempted at getting the 14060m COSC. And if the whole Sub range is going to get updated, the 14060m COSC is destined to become a VERY collectable watch, indeed, since it would then have been made only for a short time.

The 14060M is the only Rolex left to feature the Non SEL and pinholes in lugs.
I only hope Rolex do not mess with this one, cause its a beaut as it is.

..Great pic, Mike and insight Bo...I think you might be right as to the potential collectibility of this model due to the impending ceramic-maxifying of the sub line, and the possible brevity of this configuration. I do like the SEL and non hole lugs but Quien Sabe? It may be the way to go.. Perhaps best to buy from an AD, with all documentation etc...thereby enhancing the future value..I wonder if even a 10% discount is available as yet. No AD around here has the COSC version, but if I decide to leap forward, a few calls will quickly find one..We'll see.

..If you are referring to MY changeability here, my thread was but an inquiry into the current configuration of the ND COSC Sub, not a statement regarding iminent purchase. However, Bo's remarks may just hasten my hand, although I believe an AD buy might better serve collectibility concerns...

Well, collectability is a funny thing. You can never predict with absolute certainty what a future market will reward you with, however with vintage subs being a lucrative collectors market and the forseeable short run of the ND COSC it is a fair assumption that they will hold their value better than the far more common non COSC version.

Sorry if I offended you with the change your mind comment. I was just refering to these two comments pasted the same day.
