Is this acceptable?
Hi all
Following on from my previous threads of bezel misalignment and buying a new D-blue I am looking at pulling the trigger on this new d-blue tomorrow. Thing is I have noticed the bezel triangle is slightly off to the left of 12 o'clock Question is - is this within acceptable limits and am i being picky or would this do your head in and be a deal breaker? Thanks in anticipation ! |

Sometimes these bezels do not line up perfectly at 12:00. I understand the watch costs a lot of money, and if this is something you cannot live with I suggest looking at other brands. Good Luck with your purchase.
Edit: That bezel looks fine |

The only "tolerance" that need be addressed is the buyer. In use the triangle doesn't correlate to anything on the dial.

The picture angle can make it look slightly off. That watch looks great.

Thanks ever so much for your comments. I didn't take the picture the AD did and it's miles away so I can't check before I travel.
Any more thoughts anyone? |

Nice watch. I'd certainly be happy with the one in the picture.

Grab it and don't worry about it.
Also, sometimes the distance between the bezel and dial can give the illusion of it being slightly off when it isn't. |

As long as the bezel is lining up with the minute hand to time your dive or anything else, you're golden!

My brand new SubC has the same exact issue. In my OCD mindset, yes I am a suffering, I have tried to move on. It's been two months and has bothered my less and less.
I know this does not answer your question directly, but it does appear judging by the above posts, that this is not uncommon. Good luck and if you do purchase enjoy the fine timepiece............. |

If you like the piece, just buy it and send it in to the RSC. They will replace the bezel for you. I had the same problem when I got my Sub C couple of years back.

even though it looks very slightly off - that could just be the picture. It wouldn't matter to me. Just post some wrist shots - watch looks great!!

My 114060 looks roughly the same as yours. It bothered me for about 1 day after I got it, now I don't even notice it.
Sometimes it can just be the angle of the picture, or your dominant eye playing tricks on you. |

Could be parallax.
But then again, and here I am talking as a keen scuba diver and not a Rolax fanatic, you are buying a specialized dive watch. The bezel is a dive instrument. It has no relation to the time. I would be more annoyed with the totally unnecessary and over the top (to the vast majority of us) gas escape valve Believe it or not, that was one of the reasons I did not buy the SD. |

2 of my subs were misaligned by a hair, also to the left. But that is looking square on above it. Maybe Rolex made it this way so when viewed from the usual angle it looks perfect. Haha who knows
(Guy above said it in 3 words - yes probably parallax) Enjoy the watch you can always raise it at service time |

OCD and Rolex don't go together.
Rolex is a great brand, it's still mass produced. |

The parallax theory is interesting however on my sub I turned the watch 180 degrees and the triangle was then off to the right. My sub was worse than this though.
Regarding using it for diving I'm just starting out so not sure yet how deep I will be going but knowing it will cater for my needs regardless is comforting |

Might looking at another example of the same watch be a reasonable first step..?

I've seen around ten deepsea's and probably 8 of them were slightly off to the left. I can't get hold of any d-blues to make a comparison but it seems statistically likely that I'm going to get one that's off to the left. If they were all like that I would get it but there is some variation to my surprise.
If I wait any longer to find another d-blue to see if it's straighter it's going to be months |
