Tudor Snowflake advice
Looking to purchase a Snowflake while I am here in HK. Stopped by the http://www.thevintageconcept.com/ in Central and saw 2 watches both one 7021/0 and a 9411/0 you can see them here.
http://www.thevintageconcept.com/ind...roduct_id=1502 and here http://www.thevintageconcept.com/ind...roduct_id=1554 asking price was around 5800 USD for the 7021/0 and 5100 USD for the 9411/0. Thoughts? No papers/box, but I have heard The Vintage Concept guys are good and the sales woman seemed honest. Lugs looked alright to me. Going to Mongkok tomorrow to browse some more dealers. Any input on the watches (or dealers to visit in HK) would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and Happy 2015! |

I'd try to go home w the first for $5300usd or the latter fort $4800. I don't think the insert
On the first is original. Is either case particularly sharper? Stronger bevel? What bracelets? Both are quite nice. |

I thought the same thing about the Bezel insert when I saw it in person, looked a little out of place compared to the rest of the watch. Both had 9315 bracelets I believe. Will take a look again today.

First insert looks to be a mid font insert probably replaced at service / or just what was available in blue.
Second insert is SWEEEET So - 7021: + Roulette Date Wheel ') // 9411 - + Killer insert ;) Get them to put the 9411 insert on the 7021

They both look good. Im not sure about the insert on the 7016. I love the 9411 lugs look strong and crown guard looks unpolished. I would go with the 9411. I think the price is good also. Most sellers are asking over 6 for this kind of example.

Go to Mongkok first, or rather Yau Ma Tei (specifically Kwong Wah Street). Vintage Concept have a branch there, too, and there are about a dozen other shops with more moderate prices.

Apologies for the thread jack - in general can Tudor be shipped into the US or are they under the Rolex import rules?
Thank you |

They are supposedly under the same rules - though I have gotten 3 from overseas, 2 Subs and a RANGER.

I now understand the 9411 price. Side picture of case shows a big dent. Its been polished but still very visible.

Also, there is a monthly vintage watch show in the basement at the Holiday In Golden Mile on Nathan Road today and tomorrow. Quite a few local and regional sellers there, and it can be a good place to buy if you know what you're looking for. Starts around 11am. Definitely worth a look. I usually go.

I was under the impression that there is no similar restriction on Tudor trademark imports to the US.
Edit. Sorry, I failed to quote post #7 above. |

Update on the situation team: Went to their other watch shop in Mongkok and saw a bunch of their Snowflakes but not of them were quite up to my liking. Also checked out London Watch and they had a claimed USAF Snowflake, but no decom papers or any provenance. They also seemed hesitant to really talk to me (might have been my lack of Canto skills) so my gut told me to walk.
Hit up the Holiday Inn basement and most of the shops were on a lunch break Also walked around TST but could not find any great shop to browse at of note. End up going back to Central and bought the 7021 and got them to switch the ghost bezel insert for me. they are going to add a link for the bracelet and got them to throw in a grey nato as well to match the ghost grey insert. Going to take it to RSC in Shanghai when I go there. I get to pick it up tomorrow and I am so excited. Also in my excitement totally forgot to take a photo of it. Excited to share it with you tomorrow. Thanks to all. |

RSC in Hong Kong is only a 10 minute walk from Vintage Concept in Central, and is about half the price of USA RSCs for servicing. They only open monday to friday though.

That would be interesting to know. I recall a conversation on VRF that stated both fell under same rule. Would love to hear different ;)

Sorry for the size of the shots - imgur doesn't resize them... Super excited and will definitely post more pictures soon. I would also like to thank all of you guys for the comments and help - it was a bit nerve racking dropping that coin on a vintage piece where language was a barrier. First vintage piece, definitely bitten by the bug. |

Wow. Nice 7021.
You got a really nice watch there! Sweet find. That insert is killer, as well as the case. All around great score. |
