I just noticed, when screwed down my coronet is actually vertical! Not a big deal by any stretch but cool non the less. Anyone else?

for those who want to make it vertical, just remove the crown (with the stem) of of the movement and align it

I have one watch the lines up! All about the threads and the condition of the o rings. There are infinite potential alignments along the circumference, but I guess about a one in 12 chance of lining up.

Yep, some do some don't'! I think Rolex should have made them all line up!

Would need to be addressed with the stem / crown alignment. The screw-threads will align up about every time.

One of my 5513's lines up nicely...the others not so much.

Of all the Rolexes I have had pass through my hands, only my Serif 5513 crown lines up.

Mine is almost perfect on my 6426, one position to the left :(

It used to bother me, not so much anymore, but i'd be pissed if it were completely upside down or sideways

My 1601 crown is perfectly upside down when tightened! And it doesn't bother me at all. My other watches are in various orientations. As long as they maintain watertight integrity, I'm happy.

The crown and case tube on the vintage watches were not designed or intended to align in any given orientation, only to provide a watertight seal when screwed down.

I believe Rolex now has a new design where the crown always aligns upright when tight. Might be time to move from vintage to current?

I can get mine to line up perfectly, but it just isn't waterproof then. LOL.

No lupe=No difference… for me. I tried via braille and I still couldn't tell… lol
